City of Flowers Square
2005 – 2007
Suzano City Hall, Rua Baruel, 501 - Downtown
SP, Brazil
Praça do Paço Municipal de Suzano made possible the construction of a public space of symbolic importance and that gives identity to the Civic Center of the municipality.
The importance of completing the Paço Municipal de Suzano, formerly an open space used as a parking lot, was due to its privileged location in the city center, very close to the shopping and services center and, at the same time, far enough to offer an alternative extension of the walk to Praça do Paço. This Civic Center is a hub for providing services to the community and, with its remodeling, now means a possibility of enjoyment and rest either after shopping or while performing some service at the center. Likewise, the simple and uncompromised stroll with children or friends can occur since the new space is, in itself, a very pleasant and attractive place to be.
